Challenge

The existing jackpot allocation platform had evolved into a complex legacy application that required specialist knowledge, multiple manual steps and significant operator training.

Key Insight

Floor managers didn't think in terms of database records or machine IDs — they thought spatially, using the gaming floor layout to locate and identify EGMs.

Design Response

I redesigned the workflow around a clearer, more ordered floor map that surfaced machine locations and status visually, allowing operators to identify, allocate and decommission EGMs more quickly and confidently.

Outcome

The redesign reduced EGM allocation time by approximately 30–50%, lowered cognitive load, simplified onboarding and created a more intuitive operational experience.

UX Workshops & Discovery

Collaborative workshops with product, engineering, and operations teams mapped workflows, surfaced pain points, and shaped early design directions through iterative A/B testing.

Mapping User Flows

User flows across the Floor Manager and Pool Manager modules were mapped end-to-end — establishing a clear sitemap to drive the development of low-fidelity wireframes and a functional, clickable proof of concept.
